Sometimes she looked after her clothes, sometimes I did.
At Repulse Bay the deceased Fung came out to see me.
My husband knew him. I might have seen him before - if so I have
forgotten. She was wearing a diamond watch and a diamond ring.
I can't remember whether
I only remember these two particularly
she was wearing ear-rings. She was not wearing them when she
got back to 50 Village Road because she had handed them over.

Before she left 50 Village Road there were 4 or 5 sheets
and one blanket. The mothe. used a coat. Misa Lei took the one
blanket and 3 sheets. The remaining two sheets were given to
me by Miss Lai's mother, and when the accused ame back and
complained of not having any sheets I had to hand them back.
They did not take any crockery or furniture or the clothing of
the accused.
On the 24th March my husband had been ill for a week.
There was no one else who could go to the Nathan Hote .
I telephoned to Miss Lai's mother sometime after 11 a.iii.
on the 24th March. The rang me up again at 6 p.m. and told me my
mistress was at 14 Shan Awong Road. This was merely in regard
to the delivery of the letter.
The telephone at No.50 Village Road is in the passage
near the drawing room - the front hall, not near servants
quarters.
My husband had already opened the letter and knew I
was going to deliver it that evening. The $200 was my entire
savings.
By Curt: I can't remember using the telephone to tell anybody
about the murder that evening.
